Pesach is a really busy time, so let’s jump right in with the tips!
Make a To-Do List for Each Category
In your bullet journal, make a list of things to do for each of these categories:
- Cleaning
- Clothing shopping
- Menu planning
- Food shopping
- Cooking
- Misc.
Feel free to add your own categories!
Create a Schedule
Keep in mind:
- See what you can do well in advance, like clothing shopping or menu planning. If you can take care of something earlier, that frees up time later when things get hectic.
- Focus on what’s absolutely necessary and put that first. (Remember, Pesach cleaning is not spring cleaning.)
Cleaning Tips
- Stock up on cleaning supplies before you start. This will save you from getting stuck in the middle of cleaning and having to run to the store for more Windex or paper towels.
- Take the cleaning room by room.
- Clean from top to bottom, otherwise you’ll be re-dusting or re-vacuuming when dust and cobwebs come drifting down from the higher surfaces.
- Don’t be afraid to toss things into the garbage. Decluttering will make the cleaning easier and will give each room a fresh feel.
Find Yourself Procrastinating?
- Work in attainable chunks. Put on a timer for 20-30 minutes and work until the timer goes off. Then take a mini break for a few minutes. Use the break as a chance to stretch, hydrate, or take a breath of fresh air.
- Put on your favorite music/lecture/podcast. Find something to shift your focus away from the menial task at hand.
You got this!
