Packing lists are one of those things that we use again and again, and don’t necessarily change that much from one use to the next. When I realized I was rewriting the same packing list every time I traveled, I figured I should practice what I preach, and make this a reusable spread in my bullet journal. So I did! Here’s how:
I took a piece of blank paper and taped it into the center of the page with washi tape. (Washi tape is decorative tape, and there are many kinds that can be removed easily without tearing up the paper.) I’m using washi tape because I want to be able to remove this paper from the journal. When I start a new bullet journal, I can transfer this list and continue using it.
I used a ruler and pen to create two columns.
I wrote my list on the taped-down page.
I placed a piece of thin washi tape along the list. I can now put check marks (or circles) on the washi tape. When I’m done packing, I can take the washi tape off and throw it out. The next time I travel, I can put a new piece of washi tape and use the list again.
I was really happy to find a use for this washi tape. Because I bought it years ago, and then hardly used it because it doesn’t stick down very well. In this case, it’s perfect, because I only want to stick down temporarily.
